SPRING PEEPER HOMESTEAD SALES POLICY/AGREEMENT:
Kids can go to their new homes when they are weaned, (generally at 10 to 12 weeks of age). Wethers are banded NO SOONER THAN 12 WEEKS of age. Wethers may leave for their new homes one week after banding. YOU, the new owner are responsible for attending to the health care of your wether, after he has been banded.
Reservations for Goat Kids
Reservations for kids are taken on a first come, first served basis. No deposit is required to reserve a kid from a specific breeding. To reserve a kid, please contact me by sending an email to [email protected]. Please be sure to include the names of both the sire/dam and the sex of the kid you would like to reserve. You will be notified of your position in the reservations, and then again when your reservation has been filled. The earliest reservation has the first right of refusal. If refused, the reservation moves to the next person, and so forth. ***You have 24 hours to decide whether or not you want the kid(s). If no response is received within 24 hours, the reservation will move to the next person on the waiting list. If a kid from the desired breeding is not available, you will also be notified that your reservation cannot be filled at this time.
Deposits
If you agree to purchase a kid either verbally or in writing, your deposit is required within one week of this agreement. Deposits are HALF of the TOTAL PURCHASE AMOUNT. This deposit will hold the kid until pick-up date; which will be agreed upon, either verbally or in writing, between Spring Peeper Homestead and buyer. We currently accept cash/PayPal for deposits. Once the deposit has been made, it is NON-REFUNDABLE, but it is transferable to another animal. The balance on the kid is due IN CASH on the day of pickup. Sorry, we do not ship kids, nor can we recommend a transporter.
Adult animals may be reserved for HALF OF THE TOTAL PURCHASE AMOUNT. Again, once the deposit has been made, it is non-refundable but it is transferable to another animal. After the deposit has been received, adult animals should be picked up within 30 days, with the balance due IN CASH, at pick up. After 30 days, a $5 per day boarding fee will be added to the balance of each animal on hold.
***If you have animals (kids or adults) on deposit, and you have NOT arranged pick-up, and attempts to contact you to arrange pick-up have been unsuccessful for 30 days, you forfeit all deposits and the rights to purchase the animal(s) on hold.***
We guarantee the health of the animals until they leave our farm, and we make no guarantee of health once they leave our facilities; after that, they are YOUR responsibility. All animals will be disbudded, tattooed*, hooves trimmed, and are given copper bolus, selenium gel, and Probios gel, prior to leaving for their new home. We also provide a small bag of the feed that our goats are currently eating, so that the new owner can gradually switch them over to new feed. *Wethers/unpapered goats are not tattooed.
